Applicants must meet the following admissions requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from U.S regionally accredited college or university.
- DPD/FDE Verification Statement
If a Declaration of Intent to complete an ACEND accredited DPD or FDE program is provided during the application, an official copy of the verification statement will be required prior to final admission. - Academic Transcripts and Test Scores
- GPA: B average or above, official academic transcripts with conferral of undergraduate and/or graduate degrees.
- English Proficiency (if English is a 2nd language) -
TOEFL (International Students): 560 or above (paper-based test); 220 or above (computer-based test); 83 or above (internet-based test; minimum individual test scores: writing 22, speaking 23, reading 21, listening 17).
*within 2 years of semester starting semester and students for whom English is a second language must complete the VEPT test at the start of the program.
- Three Letters of Recommendation (two academic and one professional)
- Personal Statement (1000 words or fewer) addressing the following questions:
- Describe what has led you to have an interest in a dietetics career?
- Discuss volunteer, work, or research experiences that have prepared you for a supervised practice program?
- Highlight your skills and suitability for the DI program, including leadership skills, ability to work with others, problem solve, and critically think.
- What are your short and long-term career goals in the nutrition and dietetics field?
- Why do you consider yourself a good fit for our DI program leading to the registered dietitian nutritionist credential?
- Relevant Experience includes work, volunteer experience and honors and certifications as it relates to nutrition and dietetics.
- Resume or Curriculum Vita
- Interview in-person or via video conference
- Satisfactory completion of RU SEBS-DI Preselect Application (for those applying as preselect) or DICAS application and match from D&D Digital.
