Application Process

All prospective applicants must apply through Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application Services (DICAS)

Fall 2024

  • Step 1: Students may begin to apply in DICAS starting August 5th, 2024. Program Code: 2486
  • Step 2: Student applications to Dietetic Internship Program must be submitted by 11:59 pm EST on October 1st, 2024 in the DICAS Application Portal for Fall 2024 Admission cycle.
  • Step 3: Applicant notification date is November 1st, 2024.
  • Step 4: Applicant decision date (November 15th, 2024) to Rutgers SEBS Nutritional Sciences MS/DI Program to confirm acceptance.

Spring 2025

  • Step 1: Students may begin to apply in DICAS starting August 5th, 2024. Program Code: 2486
  • Step 2: Student applications to Dietetic Internship Program must be submitted by 11:59 pm EST on January 15th, 2025 in the DICAS Application Portal for Spring 2025 Admission cycle.
  • Step 3: Applicant notification date is March 1st, 2025.
  • Step 4: Applicant decision date (March 15th, 2025) to Rutgers SEBS Nutritional Sciences DI Program to confirm acceptance.

Note: Although there are two admissions cycles, the program start date for both is June 2025.

If selected for the Rutgers DI Program, admission is conditional and final approval will be dependent on the following:

  • A signed Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or Foreign Dietetic Education (FDE)verification statement from an ACEND-accredited DPD or FDE program if not already provided during the application process.
  • An official transcript, listing conferral of undergraduate and/or graduate degrees earned.
  • Completion of the Rutgers School of Graduate Studies (SGS) application and admission to the SGS. The SGS application does not have to be completed until an applicant has been selected for the DI. The DI Program faculty will provide all accepted students with instructions for completing the online SGS application. Accepted students will be responsible for paying the $70 application fee at the time of application.
