Application Process

Preselect Application Process (For Rutgers DPD/NSGP Students Only):

Preselect application process is strictly limited to Rutgers DPD.
Prospective applicants will be required to submit a completed application (Rutgers SEBS DI Preselect Application) by November 15th of each calendar year.
Prospective applicants may contact us directly if you wish to be considered for a preselect option. An email communication with application link will be sent to currently enrolled DPD & NSGP and Alumni that meet eligibility requirements.
Notification of acceptance or denial into the Rutgers DI for preselect eligible applicants will occur by December 15th. Note, if a student wishes to rescind the acceptance of admission offer, the student is subject to a withdrawal fee of $500.
The Rutgers DI Program Director is required to email a list of all preselected applicants who have accepted the DI to D&D Digital on February 1 of each calendar year.
Interns accepted into the Rutgers SEBS DI program through the preselection process must withdraw from DICAS and D&D Computer Match if they were registered by April 1, 2024 11:59 p.m. CT.
If an applicant is not preselected, he or she may apply again to Rutgers DI through the computer matching process.
Up to 75% of the total number of students selected each year may be filled with individuals who meet preselect eligibility requirements and are accepted during the preselect process.

Program slots not filled through the preselection process will be filled through participation in the computer matching process via:
- Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application Services (DICAS)
- D&D Digital Systems Computer Matching Process

Deadlines will be in compliance with the spring internship match guidelines and all application materials will be submitted through DICAS. Instructions and deadlines regarding the Spring Match can be viewed at:

Step 1: DICAS Application Portal will close for Dietetic Internship Programs. Applications to Dietetic Internship Programs must be submitted by 11:59 pm Central Time on February 15, 2024.
Step 2: Applicants must register online at www.dnddigital.com, pay the computer match fee by credit card and enter their contact information and Dietetic Internship preferences by 11:59 pm Central Time February 15, 2024.
Step 3: Applicant matching results are posted on www.dnddigital.com from 6 p.m. Central Time, April 7, 2024, through April 8, 2024 (Appointment Day). This is the ONLY source of notification for applicants. Each applicant will receive either ONE MATCH or NO MATCH after Log In
Step 4: Matched applicants must contact the Dietetic Internship program by telephone, FAX or email on or before 6 p.m. (EST), April 8, 2024, to confirm acceptance of the MATCH. After this time, the program is under no obligation to hold the opening for the matched applicant.

A signed Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or Foreign Dietetic Education (FDE)verification statement from an ACEND-accredited DPD or FDE program if not already provided during the application process.
An official transcript, listing conferral of undergraduate and/or graduate degrees earned.
Completion of the Rutgers School of Graduate Studies (SGS) application and admission to the SGS. The SGS application does not have to be completed until an applicant has been selected for the DI. The DI Program faculty will provide all accepted students with instructions for completing the online SGS application. Accepted students will be responsible for paying the $70 application fee at the time of application.
